Breakthrough Type 1 Diabetes Walk

EAST PEORIA, Ill. (WCIA) — Type 1 Diabetes Breakthrough Illinois Youth Ambassador Avery Ax joined WCIA's Mitchell Rife to talk about upcoming events in East Peoria.

The Central Illinois Breakthrough T1D Walk will be held on Sunday, Oct. 13, and the organization expects “several hundred” participants, Ax said.

Community Spotlight: Kemmerer Village Autumn Festival

Attendees will walk a mile to support type 1 diabetes research and advocacy, and can expect Avanti at vendors, dance parties, and lunch.
