JDRF CEO Aaron Kowalski, Ph.D., joins the Hudde to share details of an exciting initiative his organization is working on to bring new affordable insulin options to the market. Aaron shares the plan for distribution, when you can expect to see these options on the market, and discusses the important role the diabetes care team plays in improving access to equitable and affordable health care.

April is Minority Health Month! Gary Puckrein, PhD, the mind and inspiration behind this national observance joins us today to discuss the disproportional impact of diabetes on communities of color. You’ll learn why health inequities persist in these communities despite advances in treatment and technology and hear why we need to reimagine the health system in order to resolve these inequities.

Thanks to the efforts of the ADCES Research Committee, the editors of our peer-reviewed journals, the Annual Meeting Committee, the ADCES Foundation, and so many others, we continue to expand the research enterprise at ADCES. Gretchen A. Piatt, MPH, PhD joins us to discuss the value of research in the area of diabetes care and education, and how this research drives the implementation of best practices in real-world settings and informs health policy. She’ll also introduce the 2022 research agenda created by the ADCES Research Committee.
