Sunrise Senior Living Our commitment to creating healthy living environments has led to more than 200 communities earning the WELL Health-Safety Rating for the second consecutive year.

Awarded by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), the WELL Rating is a third-party verified assessment that supports organizations in prioritizing health throughout their building operations, including addressing air and water quality, cleaning procedures, emergency preparedness, health resources, stakeholder engagement and more.

“At Sunrise Senior Living, we recognize that the health of our residents and staff is intrinsically tied to the health of the environment in which they live and work,” Sunrise CEO Jack R. Callison said in a statement. “By prioritizing sustainable building practices, environmentally conscious operations and comprehensive wellness programs, we are not only improving the quality of life for our residents, but we are also setting a new standard in the senior housing industry.”

Sunrise operates more than 240 communities across the United States and Canada, providing independent living, assisted living and memory care services, as well as nursing and rehabilitation services.

Last year, Sunrise became the largest senior living provider to implement the WELL Health-Safety Rating for facility operations and management across its portfolio, with more than 600 senior living communities around the world having committed to or achieved this rating.
