Eatonville hosts community health events to promote healthy living and wellness – WFTV

Eatonville, Fla. — A community health event was held in Eatonville Wednesday afternoon, bringing together locals to learn about healthy dieting and exercise.

The event, held at the Denton Johnson Community Center, offered free health screenings and vaccinations as part of a bimonthly series funded by the Winter Park Health Foundation.

“Eatonville is known as a food and medical desert,” Constance Brown said, highlighting the importance of providing resources and services to the community.

Community Health Stoke is supported by the Grace Medical Home and the Orlando Central Florida Black Nurse Association. Participants learned how to incorporate exercise into their daily routines, even when sitting in a chair.
