FHN hosts educational event focused on diabetes prevention | News






FREEPORT, Ill. (WREX) – FHN hosts “Small Steps.” “The Big Reward” is a free educational event that focuses on the seriousness of diabetes and how to prevent and slow the disease.

This workshop will focus on the importance of daily exercise and healthy eating. It will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 5, from 5:30 p.m. at the FHN Family Healthcare Center, 1010 W. Fairway Drive, Freeport.

Participants will receive a complimentary non-fasting blood glucose test from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM prior to the start of the program.
