We want to help! We know how difficult it can be to decide what the right food is when you’re trying to eat healthy. This guide can help you choose the right foods for the whole family. It is suitable for everyone – whether you have type 1 or type 2 diabetes, or hypertension (high blood pressure) or high cholesterol, or just want to choose good foods to have more energy.

It is so important to control your diabetes. The right diet can help you live a normal, healthy life. Choose the following foods for you and your family.

Here are some of the pages in the guide to show you the type of information you will find in it. There are ideas for breakfast, lunch and dinner – and tips to help you plan your meals.

Remember:

Don’t skip meals. Eat vegetables every day. Eat dry beans, split peas, lentils and soybeans regularly. Choose liquid oils instead of hard fats. Limit your salt intake and salty foods. Avoid sugar. Drink 8 glasses of water a day. Get more active.
