Harrison Community Hospital offering diabetes-focused nutrition and cooking class Nov. 12

Food for Life program to provide healthy recipes, demonstrations and guidance from medical professionals; registration due Nov. 5

The class will feature nutrition information, cooking demonstrations, and healthy recipes.

Harrison Community Hospital in Cadiz will host a Food for Life: Diabetes Initiative nutrition and cooking class Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 5-7 p.m. in the hospital cafeteria, 951 E. Market St.

The class will feature nutrition information, cooking demonstrations, and healthy recipes. It will be led by Dr. Joshua Moore, MD, DipABLM, and Food for Life instructor Amanda Zelek, PharmD, DipACLM.

Participants are asked to register by Wednesday, Nov. 5, by calling 740-425-5222.

The event is part of WVU Medicine Harrison Community Hospital’s ongoing efforts to promote community health and wellness.
