Prediabetes Education – Finger Lakes Daily News

UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health has announced that the Dialysis Unit at Geneva General Hospital will host a free pre-dialysis education class from 1-2pm on Thursday, June 27th at the Geneva General Hospital Dialysis Unit, 196 North Street, Geneva. The class is aimed at kidney disease patients and support personnel.

The class is designed to educate patients about kidney disease, treatment options, diet and adapting to life with kidney disease.

The goal of this class is to help patients and their families understand and feel comfortable about kidney disease and potential options for renal replacement therapy. This class will be taught by experts in nephrology and dialysis. Patients are strongly encouraged to bring a support person to class.

Registration is required.

The free classes are held on the fourth Thursday of every month from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Geneva General Hospital Dialysis Unit.
