The best blood sugar I've ever had

I think this is the highest blood sugar I've ever had. At least because I was able to see my blood sugar level. I sent this to my fellow Type 1 friend via email with a headline: “Don't ask!?” she wrote back: “I'm asking!!! What did you eat for breakfast?, sugar was put in your coffee, bad news/stress… Detective at work!

Of course, I already put on my detective hat and wrote it back. I think the sensor was correct. I'm not sure if my fiasp (short acting) or Toujeo was spoiled because both have expired. Or I was at a friend's house in New Jersey and I didn't cover breakfast properly because she made an oat muffin I normally don't eat. Or maybe the fever tampered with my insulin or BS. Or injected through scar tissue. Or…or…or…

When I realized that insulin hadn't covered my breakfast, I was back in Brooklyn on a two-hour drive after visiting a friend in New Jersey, where I was in the car with my friend. I paused before I got on the highway. We stopped by the supermarket. City girls just want to walk up and down the aisles of a real supermarket. So while my friend was shopping, I walked up and down around all the aisles and the facilities outside, and now my blood sugar level rose and hopefully the only way to stop him from knocking it down.

And it started to descend from this high of 263-219, but then we went back to the car and started to rise again. By this point I was probably taking 7 unit debacles in one or a half units shots, bouncing up and down the car to keep moving with my blood sugar levels lowered. Finally, I led another unit at 175 years old. Finally, it knocked it down to 110 in the time we crossed to Brooklyn.

I dumped Tuheo and started a new one this morning. I looked at my blood sugar all night and the next morning, and everything looked fine.

So what did this detective and my friend come up with? We thought the most likely scenario was being filmed seriously for oat muffins. But who really knows? ! As the song progresses, “Mom said there will be days like this, there will be days like this mom said.” Luckily, we are now watching tools to watch my CGM in real time, as well as the knowledge to run small experiments such as taking one unit and watching what happens. Luckily I was a bit struggling to stay away from home and grabbed a bottle of fresh insulin, but I was grateful that I was not alone.
