Free hospital class will teach healthy eating , more

Uvalde Memorial Hospital will host a free class for diabetics from 8 a.m. to noon March 13 in the second floor Education Room.

The class will teach individuals of all ages about healthy eating and how to reduce the risk of disease-related complications.

In addition to those subjects, participants will also learn the differences between Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, and what glucose, insulin, and diabetes is.

Additional classes will be held May 8, July 10, Sept. 11, and Nov. 13.
