NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services visited Nashville on Wednesday to discuss healthy living with the Tennessee legislature.

Sec. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was at the Tennessee State Capitol Building as part of his “Take Back Your Health Tour.”

The focus of the visit was to highlight recent changes to the country’s dietary guidelines and the current state of American healthcare.

“Under President Trump’s leadership, we are driving a generational shift in American health care,” Secretary Kennedy said at a recent stop in Pennsylvania. “…Secretary Brooke Rollins and I delivered the most significant reset of federal nutrition policy in decades with the new Dietary Guidelines for Americans.”

Governor Bill Lee and various members of the Tennessee Legislature were on hand to greet Sec. Kennedy, and thank him for his efforts in improving overall health for Americans.
