Walworth County conducts diabetes education workshop

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 100 million adults in the United States currently live with diabetes or prediabetes.

While this statistic is alarming, there is some good news as well. People with diabetes or pre-diabetes can improve their health by attending the Living Healthy with Diabetes workshop hosted by the Walworth County Aging and Disability Resource Center.

In six weekly sessions, Living a Healthy Life with Diabetes teaches you how to manage your diabetes, including techniques for managing symptoms, eating a healthy diet, taking appropriate medications, exercising, and working effectively with your health care provider. Provide participants with strategies for managing.

Participants will develop realistic and achievable action plans, share experiences, and learn how to problem-solve with each other.
