The UNMC Healthy Living Center will host a MixxedFit instructor training session on October 12th. Training sessions will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and cost $125. Registration is online brand website.

MixxedFit is a fitness program that combines dance and weight conditioning. The Healthy Living Center hopes this training class will serve as a pipeline for new instructors to teach fitness classes at the facility.

“We wanted to offer this training to create more homegrown instructors,” said Andrea Sweat, director of the Center for Healthy Living. “This training opportunity will increase the variety of fitness classes offered at the center. We also know that people love dancing as a form of training. Why not get trained to teach others? ”

For more information about the Healthy Living Center or this training opportunity, please contact Andrea Swett via email.
