Empowered to Succeed is a series of classes for people with diabetes. Topics covered include what happens in your body, how diabetes medications work, the benefits of exercise and how to exercise safely, nutrition, and preventing diabetes complications.

Class 1 – “Pathways to Better Diabetes Management”

Class 2 — “Diabetes and Healthy Eating”

Class 3 – “Blood Glucose Monitoring”

Class 4 — “Continuing the fight against diabetes”

Class 5 — Appointment of a Dietician

Class 6 — Follow-up and support sessions

If you have any questions about your diabetes benefit coverage, contact your insurance company (the class billing code is G0109). A physician referral is required before attending your first class.
