Morris’ other philanthropic activities include, but are not limited to, school visits, community speaking, and establishing the JMO Foundation at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Morris is passionate about advocating for young people who share her experiences living with type 1 diabetes through fundraising, speeches and interviews, and support programs.
“When I was a kid, I watched people who were type 1s and played professional sports, and it gave me a lot of inspiration, but I don’t get to talk to them, listen to their stories, or ask them questions. I did,” Morris said. “So, for me, that was a big deal. I hope it can be a resource and an inspiration for kids.”
