
The American Diabetes Association recognizes UConn Health's Diabetes Self-Management Education Program To provide high quality education for patient self-care and support services.
Recertification under the ADA Educational Accreditation Program recognizes that education services at UConn Health meet national standards for the ADA Diabetes Self-Management Education Program.

The ADA Awareness Program provides evidence-based, outcome-driven interventions, ensuring that knowledgeable health professional staff teaches self-care skills to participants that promote better management of diabetes treatment regimens; Covers the following topics:
