Non-invasive blood glucose monitoring for wearable technology has been in the works for many years, and Apple is said to be considering smartwatch technology in 2017. Eight years later, diabetic patients still need to use it. Expensive third-party hardware to keep above blood sugar levels.

Apple is not the only company said to be investigating the technology, and now it looks like Samsung is beating Apple and hitting a punch. Originally rumored on last year's Galaxy Watch Ultra, the company dropped the biggest hint that the long-awaited health tracking breakthrough is right around the corner.
