IRONDEQUITE, N.Y. — Byron-Bergen, Elba and Oakfield Alabama learning communities are joining forces to “Eliminate Type 1 Diabetes.”

These three districts have students and staff affected by Type 1 Diabetes and are working together to make a big impact.

On Sunday, the three communities came together in Seabreeze for their annual JDRF (JDRF) One Walk.

“Oakfield Alabama is proud to partner with neighboring school districts and community members to support this effort,” said Oakfield Alabama Superintendent John Fisgus. “There are so many people affected by Type 1 Diabetes, and it's so important that we raise awareness and come together at events like this.”

This global effort will raise millions of dollars for the treatment and cure of type 1 diabetes. click here to donate.
