ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A cleft lip or palate can be genetic, and it affects about one in a thousand children across the United States according to the CDC.

Most families don’t even know about the condition until their baby is diagnosed.

In today’s Healthy Living segment, UNM Health introduces us to a team at UNM Children’s Hospital dedicated to guiding families through that experience and helping them fall in love with cleft smiles.
