Knowing what to eat to lower your blood sugar levels can be particularly challenging, especially at breakfast when insulin levels tend to be slightly higher.

The doctor took me to YouTube and shared a breakfast recommended for individuals seeking to reduce blood sugar.

Dr. James O'Donovan He described a high protein and fiber breakfast as an excellent alternative to typical breakfasts for processed cereals and pastries. He suggested recipes that incorporate these food groups.

He said: “Breakfast is really quick and easy to make and helps keep you full.”

The doctor shared how to make a breakfast with cinnamon apple quinoa and explained its benefits. He shared how to make five servings.

He said, “We'll need two and a half quinoa, seven and a half scoops of water, five apples, and two tablespoons of cinnamon. People can include Greek yogurt and chopped nuts.”

Dr. O'Donovan said he would peel the skin in the first place, peel both apples and cut them into bite-sized pieces. Next, add quinoa, water and apples to the large saucer. Bring them to a boil and simmer for 20-25 minutes.

“The apples are soft and the quinoa absorbs water. Then stir in the cinnamon and transfer the mixture into five bowls. It can be high in protein and longer and more fulfilling.

In addition to eating such a breakfast, doctors also shared five principles of being diagnosed with diabetes.

He said: “Reduce consumption of highly processed carbohydrates such as red processed meat and white bread and exchange them for whole grain varieties.”

Individuals should aim to have at least five fruits and vegetables per day and try to manage the size of that portion.

The doctor explained: “Planning your diet in advance will help you feel diabetes control and prevent you from returning to convenience and unhealthy options from hunger.”

People are told to focus on berberine, chromic acid, and alpha lipoic acid (ALA) due to the health benefits they have.
