November is Diabetes Awareness Month, and the Noblesville Lions Club is taking small steps to create a big impact in their community.

On Saturday, Nov. 15, the Lions will host a Diabetes Awareness Walk from 10 a.m. to noon at Forest Park Shelter 1.

The walk is free and open to the public, and everyone is invited to join in support of diabetes awareness and healthy living.

Riverview Health will provide free health screenings at the event, along with a diabetes educator and a registered dietitian available to answer questions and share tips for managing and preventing diabetes. The Noblesville Lions will also offer healthy snacks for participants.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), approximately 8.7 million adults in the U.S. have undiagnosed diabetes, about 22.8 percent of all adults living with the disease. Events like this walk help raise awareness about the importance of early detection, education, and lifestyle choices that can make a lasting difference.

The Diabetes Awareness Walk is part of the Lions Clubs International global focus on diabetes education, prevention, and support.
