Guernsey Diabetes Association holds health event at St. Pierre Park [PA Media]

An event aimed at encouraging people with diabetes to “live life to the fullest” will be held in Guernsey at a later date.

The Guernsey Diabetes Association said the free event was designed to enable people to learn more about what it means to live well with diabetes.

Speakers will include representatives from Guernsey Mind, The Beau Sejour Active Health Team, a diabetes nurse, specialist diabetic dietitian and social media influencers, The Diabetic Duo.

The event will take place in Parc Saint-Pierre from 10.30am BST.

According to the Guernsey Diabetes Association, there are around 500 people with type 1 diabetes and 3,000 with type 2 diabetes in the District of Guernsey.
