The TOPP Foundation launched the TOPP Higher Education Scholarship in 2022 to recognize and honor local high school seniors with type 1 diabetes (T1D) who are pursuing higher education at a university or technical school. TOPP Foundation is proud to support students living with T1D. These students demonstrate courage, determination, and resilience every day to grow and succeed while battling unpredictable and difficult chronic illnesses. To date, TOPP has awarded scholarships to seven of her students in recognition of the strength they display every day while battling a relentless disease.
This scholarship is for 2024 high school graduates who plan to attend college or technical school. Applicants must reside in Bucks County, Montgomery County, or Philadelphia County. The application deadline for this scholarship is June 30, 2024.
The medical costs of T1D can be daunting, and TOPP understands that paying for higher education can create additional financial hardship for families and individuals. Students selected to receive a scholarship from the TOPP Foundation will receive $500 toward tuition toward the beginning of their post-secondary education. Please come www.toppfoundation.org Learn more about this program and access the scholarship application.

About type 1 diabetes (T1D)
Unlike the more common type 2 diabetes, T1D is an autoimmune disease in which the body’s immune system destroys insulin-producing cells in the pancreas. There is currently no cure and the cause is not completely understood. T1D patients are dependent on injected or infused insulin and must carefully regulate their blood sugar to stay alive. Living with T1D is a constant balancing act that requires constant vigilance and careful planning to avoid the long-term damage of acute, life-threatening hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia.

About TOPP Foundation (Class 1 parent project)
Founded in 2016, TOPP’s mission is to support local families affected by T1D by providing diabetes camp scholarships and college scholarships, while raising awareness and funding for treatment-focused research. It’s about trying to collect. Since its inception in 2016, TOPP has donated a total of $170,500 to treatment-based research through fundraising events. In addition to higher education scholarships, the organization created his TOPP Camp Scholarship Program in 2018. This program improves the quality of life for young people living with T1D by providing financial assistance to attend specialized residential diabetes camps. From 2018 to 2023, the program awarded her 21 camp scholarships to children and teens with T1D. Additionally, in 2023, TOPP Foundation will make available Family Camp Scholarships for Camp Nejeda Family Camp. These weekends are a great introduction to the camp experience for younger children, newly diagnosed children, and children who don’t feel ready to attend summer camp on their own. TOPP Foundation is 100% donated.
