TROY — The Miami County YMCA is currently recruiting participants for a seven-week program on diabetes education, support and self-management.

Each session will focus on a different topic to help participants establish good habits and learn how to manage symptoms of prediabetes or diabetes.

This program aims to bring awareness and education to the community about the risk factors associated with diabetes and diabetes-related chronic diseases. The program is free to anyone who signs up online or at the service desk at any Miami County YMCA branch. You must be pre-diabetic or have been diagnosed with diabetes. This includes educational seminars and his two-month membership to the YMCA of Miami County during the program and after the participant’s graduation.

This class will be held at the Robinson Branch YMCA in Troy from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Mondays starting March 25th. This is a 7 week program. This program is made possible with funding from United Way.
