Two parents from Dauphin County have been charged after the Lower Swatara Township Police Department reported that they had neglected to provide their son with essential medication for his type 1 diabetes.Anthony Diffendall, 41, and Meghan Diffendall, 36, both from Middletown, are facing charges of endangering the welfare of a child.According to charging documents, the couple did not obtain or administer the insulin required for their 13-year-old son.In September., the boy was hospitalized with ketoacidosis, a life-threatening complication of diabetes.

LOWER SWATARA TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

Two parents from Dauphin County have been charged after the Lower Swatara Township Police Department reported that they had neglected to provide their son with essential medication for his type 1 diabetes.

Anthony Diffendall, 41, and Meghan Diffendall, 36, both from Middletown, are facing charges of endangering the welfare of a child.

According to charging documents, the couple did not obtain or administer the insulin required for their 13-year-old son.
