According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 100 million adults in the United States currently have diabetes or prediabetes.

People with diabetes or prediabetes can improve their health by attending the “Living Healthy with Diabetes” workshop hosted by the Walworth County Aging and Disability Resource Center.

Six weekly “Healthy Living with Diabetes” sessions teach participants strategies for managing diabetes, including techniques for dealing with symptoms and information on healthy eating, appropriate medication use, exercise and working effectively with health care providers.

Participants develop realistic and achievable action plans, share experiences, and learn to help each other solve problems.

The Living Healthy with Diabetes classes will be held Tuesdays, June 4 through July 9, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Walworth County Health and Human Services Department's Kettle Moraine Trail Room, 1910 County Highway NN in Elkhorn.
