WVU Hospitals East will host a free community event focused on diabetes prevention and management, according to a community announcement. The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 21 at the WVU Health Sciences Center – Eastern Division, 2500 Foundation Way, Martinsburg.
The program is open to anyone interested in learning more about diabetes, including those with pre-diabetes or a diabetes diagnosis. Attendees can take part in expert-led presentations and complimentary health screenings.

Nutrition for Diabetes Prevention and Management with a cooking demo by Dr. Rosemarie Lorenzetti, WVU Medicine.Saving the Diabetic Sole with Q&A by Dr. Alan J. Tenczar, podiatrist.Managing Blood Sugar by Karessa Cameron, RN, BSN, CDCES.
